Best SBC Solver Extensions for EA FC Ultimate Team

If you play EA FC Ultimate Team on the Web App, you've probably spent way too long filling Squad Building Challenges by hand. SBC solver extensions automate that — they read the challenge, pick a valid squad from your club, and fill it on the pitch with one click.

But which one should you actually install? There are at least five options on the Chrome Web Store right now, and they all claim to be the best. Here's an honest breakdown based on what each one actually does — starting with what a solver is, in case you've landed here without knowing.

What is an SBC?

SBC stands for Squad Building Challenge. EA hands you a list of rules and you have to submit a squad from your own club that satisfies all of them at the same time. A typical challenge asks for some combination of:

• A specific formation
• A minimum overall squad rating
• A minimum number of players from one league, nation or club
• A minimum team chemistry
• A minimum number of rare, or special, or highly rated players

Meet every rule and you get the reward — usually a pack, sometimes a player. Miss one and the submit button stays greyed out. The difficulty isn't understanding the rules, it's finding a squad in a club of several hundred players that hits all of them at once without wasting your best cards.

What is an SBC solver, and what are SBC solutions?

An SBC solver is a tool that does that search for you. It reads the challenge's requirements, looks through the players you already own, and puts a squad that meets every rule onto the pitch. Instead of dragging players in and out watching which requirement turns green, you get a finished squad to review and submit.

An SBC solution is one specific squad that completes one specific challenge. This is where solvers differ from the solution lists you find on other sites. A published list is built from whatever players the author had, so completing it usually means buying the ones you're missing on the transfer market. A solver builds from your club, so two people doing the same challenge get two different squads and neither has to buy anything they already own.

That's also why there is no single correct answer to an SBC. Any squad that satisfies the rules is valid, and the interesting question is which valid squad costs you the least.

How EA describes a challenge

In EA's own words, rather than ours:

"Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) let you build unique Squads using your Player Items based on different Challenge requirements, which you can then submit to earn rewards."

And the part every tool in this comparison should be judged against:

"All SBC submissions are final, and once you complete an SBC, the Items you submit are permanently removed from your Club in exchange for rewards."

Because submissions cannot be reversed, the meaningful safety question is not whether a tool solves well. It is whether it hands the squad back to you before anything leaves your club.

SBC help: what a solver does and doesn't do

Worth being clear about the limits before you install anything.

A solver does: read the challenge requirements, search your club for valid SBC combinations, place a squad on the pitch, and tell you when your club can't cover a challenge at all.

A solver doesn't: earn you coins, give you players you don't own, or make a challenge cheaper than the players in your club allow. If a challenge needs an 88-rated squad and your best card is 84, no tool can solve that — you'll be told to buy fodder, same as if you'd worked it out yourself.

The value is time. A challenge that takes ten minutes of manual dragging takes a couple of seconds, and that difference compounds when there are five daily challenges and a full set to get through.

The extensions compared

AutoSBC — free SBC solver for Chrome and Firefox

The longest-running option, completely free, available for Chrome and Firefox — including Firefox on Android. It solves SBCs using your untradeable common and rare players first (as low-rated as possible), can fall back to concept players when your club can't cover a challenge, and has an Autopilot mode that picks a cost-effective squad automatically. Filters include league excludes and rating combinations.

Best for: People who want a free, proven solver that works on desktop and mobile browsers.

Downsides: Focused purely on solving — no pack management or batch tools for daily SBC routines.

FC Enhancer (FUTNext) — all-in-one Ultimate Team toolkit

A popular all-in-one toolkit backed by the FUTNext database. Beyond the SBC solver it offers batch solving of daily SBCs and sets, pack opening and fodder management, real-time prices, keyboard shortcuts, and evolution suggestions. The core is free, with premium tiers for advanced features.

Best for: Power users who want the widest toolkit and a large community behind it.

Downsides: It's a big extension — if you only want SBC solving, you're carrying a lot of extra surface. Advanced features sit behind premium tiers.

SBC Monkey — focused solver with open code

A focused Chrome-only solver with deliberately transparent, unobfuscated code. You review and adjust the suggested solution before submitting. Free tier gives 3 solutions per day; the Supporter plan is $3/month for 200 solutions per day.

Best for: People who want a simple, inspectable solver and don't mind a small daily cap.

Downsides: 3 free solves a day runs out fast during promo weeks. No batch solving, no pack tools, no Firefox version.

FC Helper — SBC solver with pack and batch tools

Our own extension — so judge this section accordingly, but the facts are checkable in the store listings. It runs on Chrome and Firefox, including Firefox on Android. The free tier gives 50 solves per day, which comfortably covers daily SBCs. Premium (monthly or yearly, 7-day free trial) unlocks unlimited solves, batch automation of daily SBCs and full sets, and pack tools (Open All, duplicate detection, bulk actions). All club data stays on your device — the only external call the extension makes is subscription verification.

Best for: People who want SBC solving plus pack management and batch automation in one extension, with a generous free tier.

Downsides: Newer, so a smaller community than AutoSBC or FC Enhancer. No market sniping or trading features.

Safety: can you get banned for any of these?

Every extension here operates outside EA's User Agreement — that's true of the whole category, whatever an individual site claims. There is no known case of a ban for SBC solving; EA's enforcement history targets coin sellers and market bots, not squad-filling. If you just want to fill basic SBCs for free and don't care about extras, AutoSBC is the safe default — it has the largest user base and costs nothing.

If you want a full toolkit with trading, shortcuts, and a database behind it, FC Enhancer is the most complete (with a subscription price to match).

If you want SBC solving plus pack management and batch automation without the bulk of a full trading suite — and the most generous free solve cap of the paid options (50/day vs SBC Monkey's 3/day) — FC Helper covers the most ground for the price, and it's one of only two that work on Firefox for Android.

There's no single "best" — it depends on what you need. Most of these are free to try, so install one and see if it fits your workflow.
