The FC 27 Web App keeps the Transfer Market locked until your account has earned access. Returning players who earned it in FC 26, FC 25 or FC 24 before 1 August of that year, with an account in good standing, could get it back from 16 September 2026. Everyone else earns it by playing Ultimate Team on console or PC, normally over two "active days". And after 7 November 2026, using the Web App at all needs one login to FC 27 Ultimate Team on your console or PC.

This guide covers EA SPORTS FC 27 and was checked against EA's own help pages on 25 October 2026. EA updates those pages; when what you see differs from this guide, EA's page wins.

What is the 7 November login rule?

EA's help page for the FC 27 Web and Companion Apps lists the season's key dates. The last one is the rule most players have not seen yet:

"After November 7, 2026, 11:59:50 PM UTC, you need to log in to Ultimate Team™ in EA SPORTS FC™ 27 on your PC or console at least once to continue using both apps."

In plain words: if you have managed your club only from the Web App or the Companion App since September, start FC 27 on your console or PC and open Ultimate Team once before that time. That moment is ten seconds before midnight in London, and just before 1 am on 8 November in Paris, Berlin or Madrid.

What EA's page does not say: what the Web App shows if you miss the date, or how quickly a later console login brings it back. Our reading of "at least once" is that a single login is enough. Do it before the date rather than finding out.

Why is the Web App market locked when the game's isn't?

Because they are two different permissions. EA's help page on market access opens with it: "To use the EA SPORTS FC™ Ultimate Team™ Transfer Market on the Web and Companion Apps, you need to meet the access requirements." Inside FC 27 on your console or PC the market works as normal; on the Web and Companion Apps it stays locked until your account qualifies. That is why threads like "transfer market works in game but is locked on web" appear on EA's forums. It is the access rule doing its job, not a bug.

A block is a different case from "not earned yet". If EA has blocked an account from the market for breaking its rules, the app says so in words: "Your account has been blocked from using the Transfer Market on the Web and Companion Apps due to breaking our rules." EA says it emails the reason to the address on your EA Account.

Who gets access straight away?

EA's market access page names the returning players who qualify when FC 27 launches. You need both:

Those players could use the market on the Web App from 16 September 2026 and on the Companion App from 17 September.

Don't confuse this with early access to the apps, which is a separate rule: you logged in to Ultimate Team and created a club in FC 26, FC 25 or FC 24 on your platform before 1 August 2026, and your account is in good standing. Early access lets the app open; market access lets you buy and sell in it. Having the first without the second is how the market can be locked in an app that otherwise works.

How do you unlock the Transfer Market in the Web App?

If you don't qualify as a returning player, you earn access by playing Ultimate Team in FC 27. EA counts it in active days:

"An active day is when you've played three full matches in Ultimate Team™ and logged in to the Web or Companion App within a calendar day, following UTC timezones, per Ultimate Team™ account."

  1. Play three full Ultimate Team matches in FC 27 on your console or PC.
  2. Log in to the Web App or the Companion App on the same UTC calendar day.
  3. Do it again on another day. EA says an account in good standing, with no other Ultimate Team account created or used on the device, normally earns access after two active days. If other Ultimate Team accounts have been created or used on the device, it normally takes at least four, and the more accounts, the longer.

Three things in EA's wording are easy to miss:

EA sends a message to your Ultimate Team account in the game when you unlock access, and you can also check the Web App. EA also says how long it takes depends on whether your account is in good standing and whether you have ever broken the FC rules. EA's advisors cannot unlock it for you or tell you when it will happen. EA suggests FC Playtime if you want to track the matches you have played.

What does "You've reached your limit on bid and buy actions" mean?

Players have been posting this message on EA's forums. Going by its wording, the market has stopped taking your bids and buys. EA's help pages that we read do not explain it: they don't say how many actions set it off or how long it lasts, so any number you see quoted elsewhere is a guess.

What to do: stop bidding and buying, close the market and come back later. Our reading is that this is a temporary limit on market actions rather than a ban, but EA has not said so in a help article. If it doesn't clear, or a block message appears, contact EA's support. Searches and buys that a tool makes run on your account like your own, FC Helper's price lookups included. EA's FC rules advise players to avoid browser extensions and forbid automation and auto-buyers. Every Web App extension carries a ban risk, ours included, and here is our honest take on it.

The Web App won't load: a 5-step fix

  1. Check EA's status first. EA's Online Service Updates page, linked at the foot of every EA Help page, shows known outages.
  2. Leave Ultimate Team on your console or PC. FIFAUTEAM reports that you cannot use the FC 27 Web App while you are logged in to Ultimate Team on console or PC, and advises returning to the FC 27 main menu before you sign in. EA's help pages don't state this rule, but it costs nothing to try.
  3. Sign in with the right account. EA says to log in with the EA Account you use to play FC 27. You are in when your Ultimate Team club and squad load.
  4. Try once with every extension off, ours included. Open a private window with extensions disabled, or switch them off for one try. If the Web App loads, turn them back on one at a time to find the one in the way.
  5. Clear the site's data and reload, or try another browser. That rules out a stale sign-in.

If none of that works, EA's customer support is linked at the bottom of every EA Help page.

What still works while the market is locked

FC Helper is an independent browser extension for the EA FC Web App, not made or approved by EA. Most of what it does needs no market at all, so you can use it from your first day:

FC Helper's Auto Complete panel open on an SBC squad screen, with the source, rating and card options and Find Squad

See Solve SBCs on the Features page for every step. Our guide to solving SBCs without buying fodder shows how far your own club goes.

Once your market opens

When the market unlocks, the rest of the Web App starts to pay off. Our Web App tips cover the everyday shortcuts, and our guide to making coins by selling what you already own covers what to list first and how to price it.

If you use FC Helper, its price badges and Transfer List window work as soon as your market is open. Every tradeable card you look at shows its price, which FC Helper looks up on the transfer market one card at a time, so EA's servers see those searches. The Transfer List window shows Sold, Unsold, Available and Listed in one place.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Web App Transfer Market locked for everyone at the start of FC 27?

No. EA's help page says returning players whose account is in good standing, and who earned market access in FC 26, FC 25 or FC 24 before 1 August of that year, could use the market from 16 September 2026 on the Web App. Everyone else earns access by playing Ultimate Team in FC 27.

How long does it take to unlock the Transfer Market in the FC 27 Web App?

EA says an account in good standing, with no other Ultimate Team account used on the same device, normally earns access after two active days. With other Ultimate Team accounts on the device it normally takes at least four. An active day is three full Ultimate Team matches plus a Web or Companion App login in the same UTC calendar day.

What happens on 7 November 2026?

EA's help page says that after 7 November 2026, 11:59:50 PM UTC, you need to have logged in to Ultimate Team in FC 27 on your PC or console at least once to keep using the Web and Companion Apps. Open Ultimate Team once on your console or PC before then.

Does a Transfer Market ban from FC 26 carry over to FC 27?

EA says an FC 26 Transfer Market ban does not transfer to FC 27, but you will not have automatic access either and need to play Ultimate Team to earn it. A franchise ban from the FC franchise does carry over.

Can EA support unlock the Transfer Market for me?

No. EA's help page says its advisors cannot grant access to the Transfer Market or tell you when you will get it. EA sends a message to your Ultimate Team account in the game when you unlock access.
