FC Helper: Terms of Service

Last updated:

Please read section 2 before you use FC Helper. EA's rules warn against third-party browser extensions and automation, and using FC Helper can put your EA account at risk.

1. What these terms cover

These terms apply when you install or use the FC Helper browser extension, on the Free tier or on Premium. By installing or using it, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not install it, or remove it.

"FC Helper", "we" and "us" mean the independent project that provides the extension. "You" means the person using it.

FC Helper is provided by FC Helper, not by Google, Mozilla or EA.

FC Helper runs in your browser, in the EA FC Ultimate Team Web App. It has no account of its own. It fills SBC squads and can, when you press for it, buy players on the Transfer Market and submit SBCs.

Three other pages go with these terms:

  • Terms of sale: payments, trial, renewal, cancelling and refunds.
  • Privacy policy: what data FC Helper uses.
  • EA's own terms, which still apply to your EA account. See section 2.

2. Your EA account and EA's rules

Using FC Helper may breach EA's terms, and EA may restrict or close your account. We cannot prevent that or reverse it. Decide for yourself whether to accept this risk before you use FC Helper.

What EA says. These are EA's words.

From EA's EA SPORTS FC rules:

"You can only access EA SPORTS FC™, EA SPORTS FC Ultimate Team™, and our EA SPORTS FC™ servers using an official version of EA SPORTS FC™ or the official Web and Companion Apps."

"Avoid third-party apps and browser extensions, as they can expose your account information and put it at risk."

"Don't use any sort of in-game bots, automation, or tools like auto-buyers."

The same page says EA may, as a first-time action, take steps that include:

"Remove your Ultimate Team™ Coins."

"Delete your Ultimate Team™ Club."

"Temporarily or permanently ban your account from EA SPORTS FC™ online play"

"Restrict your access to the Ultimate Team™ Transfer Market."

"Ban you from some or all EA games."

From EA's User Agreement:

"Do not engage or assist in cheating, collusion, unfair play, or using exploits." (Section 6)

"EA may terminate your access and use of any EA Services or your EA Account if EA determines that you have violated this Agreement" (Section 8)

"If EA takes any action described in this Section, you will not be entitled to a refund (subject to any statutory refund rights) and no Entitlements will be credited to you or converted to cash or other forms of reimbursement." (Section 8)

How we read that. This is our reading, not EA's and not legal advice. EA has not authorised or approved FC Helper. EA decides what breaks its rules, and it may treat using FC Helper as a breach, whatever you use it for. No tool can guarantee against action by EA.

What FC Helper does on your account. So that you can judge the risk:

  • It acts in the Web App, on your own EA account.
  • Some presses only place a squad, and you submit it yourself. Others, such as Repeat and batch runs, also submit SBCs, and one press can run many SBCs.
  • It buys only the players a solve needs, after you press Buy All and accept the warning. Those purchases spend your coins.
  • Its tools for packs, selling and your club act when you press them, following the settings you choose.

Your EA account stays your responsibility. EA's agreement says: "You are responsible for the activity on your EA Account; it's yours, don't share it." If EA acts on your account, you deal with EA about it. We cannot do so for you. EA's rules page explains how to dispute a ban or suspension.

3. Who may use FC Helper

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age to hold an EA account in your country if that is higher. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you may use FC Helper only with the permission of a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms. A parent or guardian must make any Premium purchase.

You need your own EA account and your own right to use the Web App. FC Helper is for players acting for themselves, not for business use.

4. Your licence

We give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use FC Helper for your own non-commercial play, for as long as you follow these terms. Premium features are included for as long as your subscription is active.

The extension is licensed to you. It is not sold to you. The FC Helper name, logo, code and design belong to us. Cards, club names, images and other game content belong to EA or their other owners, and we claim no ownership of them.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • sell, resell, rent, share or give access to FC Helper or your Premium subscription, or offer services to others that are built on it;
  • copy, modify or redistribute the extension, or remove its notices;
  • reverse engineer or decompile it, except where the law allows you to, for example to make it work with other software;
  • bypass the Free tier's limits, the Premium check or any other limit in the extension;
  • overload, attack or disrupt our server, or send it automated or fake requests;
  • use FC Helper to break the law, or to farm, buy, sell or transfer coins or accounts;
  • use FC Helper on an EA account that is not yours.

6. Free, Premium and money

The Free tier costs nothing and has limits. Premium adds paid features.

Prices, the free trial, renewal, cancelling, refunds and your 14-day right are set out in the Terms of sale, not here. If your receipt came from Link, Link's terms apply to refunds, tax and your 14-day right to cancel. To ask about a refund, write to support@fchelper.com.

Removing the extension does not cancel your subscription. Cancelling stops the next payment, and Premium stays on until the end of the period you already paid for.

7. Your coins, your cards, your results

Every coin you spend and every card you use is your decision, including when you let FC Helper use them for you by pressing a button. Please check what a press will do before you press it, and read any warning FC Helper shows you.

Once a card is bought, or an SBC is submitted, it is done inside EA's game. We cannot undo it, and we cannot return coins or cards. EA's agreement says: "Once you redeem EA Virtual Currency for an Entitlement, that Entitlement is not returnable, exchangeable, or refundable."

We do not guarantee in-game results. That includes that a solve can be found, that it is the cheapest one, that it uses the cards you would have chosen, that a card can be bought at the price shown, that EA accepts a submission, or what any pack or reward contains. Prices shown are a guide and can change before you act.

8. Not affiliated with EA

FC Helper is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Electronic Arts. EA SPORTS FC is a trademark of Electronic Arts Inc. Other names and marks belong to their owners and are used only to say what FC Helper works with.

9. Availability, and when EA changes the game

FC Helper depends on EA's Web App, which we do not control. EA can change the game, the Web App, the Transfer Market or its rules at any time, ask for a verification code, or limit what your account can do. When that happens, some or all of FC Helper may work differently or stop working, for a time or for good.

We work to keep FC Helper working and to update it when EA makes changes, but we cannot promise a date, or that every feature can be kept. Updates reach you through your browser's extension store. We may also add, change or remove features. Before we withdraw FC Helper or a main Premium feature for good, we will try to say so in the release notes.

If a problem stops you using something you paid for, write to support@fchelper.com. Your rights in section 10 and the Terms of sale apply.

10. Our responsibility to you

We provide FC Helper with reasonable care and skill. We make no other promises about it beyond these terms, the Terms of sale and those the law gives you.

Your legal rights come first. Nothing in these terms limits a right you have as a consumer that the law does not allow a contract to limit. That includes your rights if paid digital content does not conform to its contract. Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury, fraud, gross negligence or deliberate wrongdoing.

Within those limits:

  • We are not responsible for what EA does, including any action on your account, coins, cards or club, except where the law makes us responsible.
  • We are not responsible for in-game results and decisions described in section 7.
  • We are not responsible for loss that neither of us could reasonably have foreseen, or that comes from events outside our reasonable control.

Some countries give you further rights. Those rights still apply.

11. Ending use

You can stop at any time by removing the extension. Removing it does not cancel Premium, so cancel as the Terms of sale describes. Removing it also leaves some data in your browser's storage for the game site until you clear that site's data. The Privacy policy explains how.

We may suspend or end your use if you seriously or repeatedly break section 5, if your use puts other players or our server at real risk, or if the law requires us to. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right. We do not need to tell you first if the breach is serious or the risk is urgent. If this affects a period you paid for, write to support@fchelper.com.

If we stop providing FC Helper altogether, active Premium subscriptions will stop renewing.

Sections 7, 8, 10, 13 and 14 continue after you stop using FC Helper.

12. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms when FC Helper, EA's game or the law changes. When we do, we update the "Last updated" date above. If a change is significant, we also say so in the release notes before it takes effect. If you do not agree with a change, stop using FC Helper and cancel any subscription before it takes effect. A change to these terms does not change the price or period of a subscription you already hold.

13. Governing law and your rights where you live

If you are a consumer, you keep the protections of the law of the country where you live that a contract cannot take away, and you may bring a claim where that law allows. These terms do not take those protections from you. These terms contain no arbitration clause and no class-action waiver.

If a part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term at one time, we can still enforce it later.
